The drawers are simple to open and close however I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place around the world. It also offers many options for customization. This refrigerator was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never moving by more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to preventing freezing burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour, and maintained that temperature throughout our testing.

One of the best features of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, which makes it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers to help you better organize the position of items. I've found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator.
